Sunday 3 March 2019

Hello Everyone,
A big THANK YOU to all who came out for the student-led conferences this past Tuesday. Each child was well prepared to welcome his/her parent into their classroom. I hope you were as amazed and proud as I was to see your child's leadership skills flourish and saw this as an authentic learning opportunity for all of us involved.

In Math, we were able to work collaboratively to solve some pretty challenging real life questions by applying what we understand about patterns to come up with a solution.

In Language, we are still working on QAR but took a side step to explore the use of quotation marks. The class was noticing these "strange marks" in our text so it was a perfect opportunity to dig a little deeper.

We have many students in the class that have many connections to music and musical instruments. Ask your child what we did with the buckets and our note and rest anchor chart. We had a blast! It was loud but was so much fun!
